Project Description
Wall Steel fabricated and erected the Structural Steel for Pier E Dublin Airport, an airside development of Terminal 2. Dublin Airport’s Pier E/ Terminal 2 was the largest construction site in Ireland with over 2000 people working on site at its peak. The overall value of the Terminal 2 project is €609 million.
The project consisted of the provision of 3800 tonnes of structural/Architectural steel and 18000 square metres of decking, Pier E is 500 meters long with 11 fixed links and Node Buildings and a Link Bridge connection to Terminal 2 spanning over 30m. Wall Steel worked closely with the design team and PJ Hegarty and the Dublin Airport Authority to ensure that the project was delivered on program to the highest standards.
